История создания

Альбом был записан в студии Easy Eye Sound в Нэшвилле. Продюсерами выступили сами участники дуэта, а также Dan the Automator.

Релиз

Ohio Players вышел 5 апреля 2024 года. Первым синглом стала композиция «Beautiful People (Stay High)», выпущенная 12 января 2024 года[3][4]. Вторым синглом стала кавер-версия песни Уильяма Белла «I Forgot to Be Your Lover»[5].

Реакция

Журнал Rolling Stone отметил, что присутствие таких музыкантов, как Бек и Ноэл Галлахер, делает Ohio Players одним из лучших альбомов дуэта[6]. Pitchfork назвал альбом «живым, свежим и ярким»[7].

Однако не все отзывы были положительными. Slant Magazine критиковал песню «Beautiful People (Stay High)» за попытку угодить «брендам». The Guardian назвал альбом «разочаровывающим», а NME отметил, что он слишком знаком[8].
