В 2003 году альбом Марвина Гэя Let’s Get It On (1973 год, Tamla Records) был принят в Зал славы премии «Грэмми»[7].

В 2004 году журнал Rolling Stone поместил песню заглавную песню с этого альбома («Let’s Get It On») в оригинальном исполнении Марвина Гея на 167 место своего списка «500 величайших песен всех времён»[8]. В списке 2011 года песня находится на 168 месте[9].
