Трэшер, Майкл
Майкл Трэшер (англ. Michael Thrasher; род. 1953[1]) — британский политолог, профессор политологии в Школе социологии, политики и права Плимутского университета[2]. Известен как аналитик выборов на телеканале Sky News.
Биография
Трэшер родился в Сток-он-Тренте (Стаффордшир) в 1953 году. В 1974 году получил степень бакалавра политологии в Ливерпульском университете. Остался в Ливерпуле для работы над докторской диссертацией «Политическая теория английского местного самоуправления, 1834—1972». В 1981 году получил степень доктора философии. В 1977 году начал преподавать в Плимуте, а в 1997 году стал профессором политологии. Является содиректором Центра выборов Local Government Chronicle.
Вместе со своим коллегой Колином Роллингсом Трэшер много писал об избирательных системах, результатах выборов и британской политике. Выступал в качестве псефолога в освещении выборов на телеканале Sky News в 2017 году, а также участвовал в освещении ночи выборов на этом канале на каждых выборах с 1992 года.
