Фридрих Коттлер (англ. Friedrich Kottler; 10 декабря 1886[1][2], Вена, Австро-Венгрия — 11 мая 1965[1][2], Рочестер, Нью-Йорк, США) — австрийский физик-теоретик. Известен работами в области оптики и теории относительности.

Биография

До получения должности профессора в Венском университете в 1923 году работал приват-доцентом. В 1938 году, после Аншлюса, потерял должность профессора из-за еврейского происхождения. При поддержке Альберта Эйнштейна и Вольфганга Паули эмигрировал в США из родной Вены. Поселился в Рочестере (штат Нью-Йорк), где работал в исследовательской лаборатории компании Eastman Kodak[3][4].
