Кавальери, Паола
Паола Кавальери (итал. Paola Cavalieri; род. 26 октября 1950[1], Рим, Италия) — итальянский философ. Получила известность как сторонница распространения концепции прав человека на человекообразных обезьян. Написала несколько книг на эту тему, была редактором Etica & Animali, ежеквартального философского журнала[3]. Всего с 1988 по 1998 годы вышло 9 номеров этого журнала. Соучредитель проекта «Большие обезьяны».
Биография
С 1988 по 1998 год была редактором Etica & Animali, ежеквартального международного философского журнала. В 1993 году, совместно с австралийским философом Питером Сингером, основала проект «Большие обезьяны» (англ. The Great Ape Project), направленый на принятие Декларации ООН о правах человекообразных обезьян, таких как право на жизнь, свободу и запрет пыток[4][5].
Кавальери также получила известность благодаря своей книге «Вопрос о животных» (англ. The Animal Question). В ней она исследует отношения между людьми и животными, а также вопросы этики в отношении животных, обращаясь к тесной генетической связи между людьми и животными[6]. В последние годы читает лекции и публикует свои статьи в различных журналах и на дискуссионных интернет-площадках, таких как Verfassungsblog[7].
