Гринберг, Рафаэль

Рафаэль Гринберг (ивр. ‏רפאל גרינברג‏‎; род. 1958[1]) — израильский археолог, старший преподаватель археологии в Тель-Авивском университете[2]. Известен как ведущий критик археологических раскопок в районе Офель в Иерусалиме.

Биография

В 1981 году получил степень бакалавра в Еврейском университете в Иерусалиме. В 1987 году там же получил степень магистра, а в 1997 году — степень доктора философии.

Гринберг является ведущим критиком археологических раскопок, проводимых в районе Офель в Иерусалиме[3][4]. Он основал организацию «Альтернативный археологический тур по древнему Иерусалиму» для представления своих взглядов на древние находки в этом районе[5]. Гринберг утверждает, что археология основана на интерпретации, и находки не говорят сами за себя. Он оспаривает заявление Эйлат Мазар об обнаружении дворца царя Давида в Городе Давида, указывая на недостаточность доказательств[6].

В феврале 2025 года Гринберг опубликовал открытое письмо с критикой запланированной археологической конференции на Западном берегу реки Иордан. Он заявил, что археология используется как инструмент для лишения палестинцев собственности и расширения поселений. После этого министр по делам Иерусалима и наследия Израиля Амихай Элияху поручил Управлению древностей Израиля отменить участие Гринберга в ежегодной конференции Израильского исследовательского общества. Конференция должна была пройти в штаб-квартире Управления древностей, но в результате была отложена.
