Гильбоа, Ицхак
Ицхак Гильбоа (англ. Itzhak Gilboa, ивр. יצחק גלבוע; род. 1963, Тель-Авив, Израиль) — израильский экономист, с 2008 года — профессор экономики HEC Paris, где занимает именную должность профессора AXA. Биография
Ицхак родился 13 февраля 1963 года в Тель-Авиве.
В 1982 году И. Гильбоа получил степень бакалавра наук по математике c отличием и бакалавра искусств по экономике c отличием в Тель-Авивском университете. Магистерскую степень по экономике с отличием получил в 1984 году также в Тель-Авивском университете. Магистерская диссертация на тему «Совокупные предпочтения» была написана под руководством Дэвида Шмайдлера. В 1987 году был удостоен докторской степени по экономике в Тель-Авивском университете. Докторская диссертация на тему «Неаддитивные измерения вероятности и их применение в теории полезности» была написана под руководством Дэвида Шмайдлера[4].
Преподавательскую деятельность начал в качестве ассистента профессора в 1987—1990 годах, затем был ассоциированным профессором в 1990—1992 годах, профессором кафедры Фредерика Неммерса в 1992—1997 годах, кафедры теории принятия решений в Школе менеджмента Келлога при Северо-Западном университете[4].
Был редактором журналов «Econometrica» в 2001—2007 годах, «Games and Economic Behavior» в 1991—2008 годах, «International Journal of Game Theory» в 1996—2002 годах, « Journal of Economic Theory » в 1994—2008 годах[4]. Ицхак Гильбоа женился на Еве Гильбоа-Шехтман, и у них родились дочери Альма и Эрга.
Научная деятельность
И. Гильбоа совместно с Д. Шмайдлером в своей статье от 1989 года «Максимин ожидаемой полезности с неуникальным априором»[6] предложили модель максимина ожидаемой полезности (англ. maximin expected utility) с множественными априорными предположениями, которая представляет собой критерий принятия решений для объяснения парадокса Эллсберга[7]. В условиях неопределённости агент имеет полное множество вероятных событий , которые агент оценивает для максимизации полезности[8]. Модель основана на функции полезности и наборе субъективных вероятностных распределений наступлений событий, предполагающие, что люди оценивают решения на основе минимальной ожидаемой полезности по этому классу распределений.
И. Гильбоа и Д. Шмайдлер в своей статье 1994 года «Аддитивные представления о неаддитивных мерах и интеграле Шоке» предложили, что «ожидаемая полезность Шоке» основана на функции полезности, заменяющей аддитивную вероятностную меру субъективной ожидаемой полезности на неаддитивную меру по событиям, заменяя стандартную формулу ожидаемой полезности альтернативным понятием ожидания в отношении этой неаддитивной мерой.
Совместно с Дэвидом Шмайдлером Гильбоа разработал теорию принятия решений на основе прецедентов, согласно которой при выборе в условиях неопределённости сопоставляются сходные прошлые случаи и результаты принятых в них решений[9].
В статье «Rationality and Zero Risk» (2024), написанной совместно со Стефанией Минарди и Фан Ван, рациональность определяется как устойчивость выбора после его анализа и объяснения агенту; предложенная модель учитывает дополнительные издержки отклонения от стратегии нулевого риска[10].
В работе «Bureaucracy in Quest for Feasibility» (2024) Гильбоа и соавторы моделируют бюрократию как децентрализованный поиск допустимого, а не оптимального решения: подразделения опираются на прошлые прецеденты, а согласованное воспроизведение одного случая обеспечивает выполнимость общего решения и объясняет смещение к статус-кво[11].
В обзорной статье «Decision under Uncertainty — State of the Science» (2025) Гильбоа отмечает, что теория ожидаемой полезности и предложенные ей альтернативы сталкиваются с эмпирическими нарушениями, и выступает за постановку новых фундаментальных вопросов при моделировании выбора в условиях неопределённости[12].
В совместной с Росселлой Ардженциано статье «Optimizing the Application Order Under Precedent-Based Decision Making» (2025) исследуется стратегический порядок подачи заявок в инстанцию, решения которой создают прецеденты для последующих заявок; для монотонных предпочтений авторы предлагают вычислимую за полиномиальное время стратегию, тогда как в многомерном случае с немонотонными предпочтениями задача является NP-сложной.
В работе «Imagination and Planning» (2025), подготовленной совместно с Габриэль Гайер, воображение получило формальное модельное описание в планировании на основе прецедентов: оно позволяет комбинировать элементы прошлого опыта в новые пути при вычислительной сложности генерации планов.
